A fine blend of China white peony and elderflower tea that’s accented with marigold and mallow blossoms. The white tea balances beautifully with the elderflower flavour, producing a slightly sweet taste.
Caffeine class: Low.
How it tastes: Silky, with a mellow taste and a lingering elderflower finish.
To serve one: Heat 250mls of water to 75°C. Add 1 heaped tsp of tea, allow to infuse for 3 minutes
Why it’s special: Bai Mu Dan – or Chinese white peony tea – is comprised of the leaf shoot and its two nearest young leaves. This creates a fuller-flavoured white tea, whose complexity is complemented by elderflower tea.
