A little earthy, sweet and smooth.
The Greek mountain herb has been steeped to drink for centuries. Historically it’s known as ‘shepherd’s tea’, as the Hellenic shepherds were among the first to make the Greek Mountain tea infusion from the plant. Interestingly, the raw herb itself has a natural, wool-like quality.
Caffeine class: Naturally caffeine-free.
How it tastes: Gently sweet, floral and subtly earthy.
To serve one: Heat 250mls of water to 100°C. Add 1 heaped tsp, allow to infuse for 5 minutes and enjoy. Good with honey, and also delicious chilled.
Why it’s special: Generations have used Greek Mountain tea to assist them through life’s stresses. Related to the mint family, all parts of the herb are used.
