Smoky and slightly spiced.

The most prominent part of this teas process is that it’s smoked over exotic woods rich in resin. It is said that it’s creation was due to disruption from soldiers taking over a tea factory during the Qing dynasty in China. After events, the workers had to sell the tea fast; so they lit open fires to speed up the drying process – therefore smoking out the tea.

Caffeine class: Medium.

How it tastes: Sharp, evocative and smoky.

To serve one: Heat 250mls water to 100°C.
Add 1 heaped tsps of tea and allow to infuse for
2-4 minutes and enjoy.

Why it’s special: With an unmistakably distinctive flavour, this tea is one for the adventurous who like the finer things in life.

Tea type: Black tea.

Ingredients: Black tea, Smoke

Origin: China
